Buying from C&C or parallel importer

Hi Jtang

Sounds abit scary here....

For Vincar, the Avantgarde comes with sunroof but no keyless-go and hands-free access auto boot. AMG comes with the aforesaid and with paranomic roof.

To avoid unnecessary hiccups, is it really not advisable to get from PI? But the price difference is too attractive.....

It is not scary. Just list down all the specs you want and nail it with Vincar. Than put everything on the agreement. If the price difference is still a gap than no brainer. The key is to make sure everything is stipulated in your agreement. Trust or verbal will not work out.

I still reckon there is some serious dollars to be saved.

Hi guys thanks for all your valuable advise. Haha....will discuss with hubby again whether to go AD or PI.

Hi Creat1ve, care to share abt your DIY? I believe u have to do a lot of homework ?

Well, not very difficult. Just troublesome.

LTA does provide info on Self-Importing calculations.

Will have to write a long message just to share my experience though.. :P

If you are interested, I can PM you. :)

There are Pros and Cons on DIY.

Its all about how you take it.

Mainly, 3 things on DIY:

TRUST

CASH

WARRANTY

In the end,

I paid lesser COE (in terms of payout after deducting from the total savings)

I got a higher PARF with higher OMV

Yeah, on paper, that's the procedure..publicly

Practically, it's not as simple, unfortunately.
