Wiper squeal

Sharing the dismantling of the E Class wiper blade. This is how it looks like fully dismantled.

 

(1)  Remove bracket from the wiper holder slot

(2)  Remove "aero" flap from the metal frame

(3)  Remove end caps from the wiper blade (the toughest)

Here u go, u do not need to remove both end cap, just remove the left cap(looking from when u are inside the car).

1 remove the wiper from car

2 look for the left side cap

3 insert a small flat head screw driver as shown in pix and lift up slightly

4 pull out the cap

2 look for the left side cap

3 insert a small flat head screw driver as shown in pix and lift up slightly

4 pull out the cap

Btw, you mentioned in a previous post that those wiper refill from autobacs won't fit for mercs? That means we cannot get a PIAA refill to replace after removing the one on our merces?

In my previous ride with similar wiper design, I had hard time slot in the PIAA refill...important is, you must get the correct rubber profile, especially the GAP can not be too narrow, also the TOP rubber can't be too thick.. I searched autobac before, so far no suitable design.. Attached photo show the correct profile for merc , the green box area is crucial. Also where the cap catch is...

managed to remove the clips already! 

 

now time to hunt for the correct blade refill which has the right profile for w204
