Creaking noise from front wheel axle area when making turns

Recommended Posts

I'm driving a FL W204, recently when I'm turning (both left and right), I realised creaking sounds coming from my front wheel axles, somewhere near the interconnecting part between the axle and the wheels.

I have double confirmed that the sounds came from the front wheel area by putting my car in stationary position and getting down to hear it up close. The sounds were loud, imaging that I can even hear it when I'm driving in the vehicle with all windows wind up.

Anyone out here have faced similar problems or knew what went wrong??

:D

I had the same issue but only at low, parking speeds. Turns out the front undertray was loose, one or two bolts had stripped and fallen out so when the steering rod moved it was rubbing against the plate. Can check that if there's otherwise nothing wrong with your joints etc.
