Fine tuning by Monster Tune

I went down with my friend who also had his CLK tuned at Monster Tune....very likley I will also get mine down once I complete my 1st servicing at Cycle & Carriage.... very impressed by some of the information I had found....if I still had my previous ride (VW 1.4 Scirocco) its centruy sprint timing would easily have been cut from the stated 7.7 to sub 6 or below....without other modifications..... very impressive...moreover the cost isnt too high...

I believe u meant Sub-7

Hi,

Has anyone tuned their cars at monster tune and then face any problems with warranty during servicing at c&c? Thanks

Piggyback would be an option as it can be removed before sending your car back to AD (although I find it a hassle). That being said, ECU flash gives you more bang for buck.

Warranty is always on a case by case basis. I installed both the piggyback and flashed my ECU and I never remove my piggyback before sending my car in. C&C will take note of it in their records. I've claimed engine fault warranty among other issues from them successfully. The relationship you have with your SA is also very important. End of the day, want mod don't scared, scared don't mod.

thanks for the info.

For my case (B180), if Mod the car will go from Cat A to Cat B. Will it be a bigger issue as violating law? Thanks.

As far as I know, LTA uses the official manufacturer specs to classify the COE cat status.

Unless they implement a ban on tuning and make dyno and ECU software checks a compulsory component during car inspection, there's basically no way they'll know if the ECU has been flashed or if there's a piggyback hidden deep within the engine bay.
