Just want to share a fabulous romantic dining for your beloved birthday. Jim Thompson at Demspey Road is definitely a must go and experience. Setting very cosy with Thai theme, with Thai traditional dancers, and food wise is delicious. Inform them that you are celebrating birthday and they will surprise you with a very generous friut platter cum Thai dancers and musicians to entertain you with birthday song. Go and try on your birthday and you would forever be swept over the moon...

Any other similar experience?

Whats the average damage like? Thanks for sharing. I seldom go Demspey Road, thus, its about time I return and take a look. The last time I was up there for Ben&Jerrys, the parking lots were quite limited due to the huge crowd up there.

lol.. hmm... just to satisfy the curiosity of this poor girl here who hasn't been on a romantic dinner-date before, what makes a dinner with your other half special? what makes it romantic?

is it the ambience or the food?(Eg have live band, dim lights, other couples) what makes it a perfect romantic date, and what would make it an unenjoyable experience?(e.g. bad service, yucky food, too expensive)

don't say that the only impt thing is spending time with that o/r person.. otherwise go celebrate anniversary in kopitiam also can..

It's the person..... IMHO... if u dun like that person... all the best location, best food and all the candle light will just come to nought.... If it's the right person....  a simple meal by the beach is all U need....

First of all, the other half must be somebody that is nice to spend time with. Could click, communicate. laugh, smile and frown or make funny faces etc... Secondly, need some place that is cosy with decorative wares, warmth setting, exciting lighting and you could feel as though it is a place to relax and enjoy some beautiful pipe music. The hostess, waiters, waitress welcome you and make you feel at home as you approach the venue. Table and seat arrangement is just right for couples...not too close but yet offer some sweet moment of romancing. Food and drink wise, generous and yet delicious and do not burn a hole in your pocket. Big serving for the reasonable price you paid. Surprise birthday complimentary dish with dedicated dancers, music and songs to sing along. I think this should be the standard of fine dining restaurant. Cheers!

...if u like each other... Even lazing in yr own couch @ home ish lomantic...truth Mah... Little gifts & surprises & lots of caring actions way much beta actually...

...Kopitiam's teh & kopi taste beta sumtimes.......lol..;)!

....it's all commercialised out there...wad Valentine's Day Special dinners etc etc...dining out in expensive plcs...once a while is a must though and is fabulous to improve & enhanced R/S... 2 much expectations of each other on such extravagances can reverse the lomantic elements & proves fatal in R/S though....& It becomes boring too....yawnzzzzz... Lol..;)

...Ruth....I believe sumone will bring u soon...2 enjoy a memorable dinner la...;)... Or even beta, get a man who cooks 4 u....now tt is charming... IMHO ....

...but.... Rare breed here....Tink am gg kena flame liow..haha..;)!
