hey, anyone noes of any place selling great tasting popiah (non-fried type)? i used to enjoy eating at a little resturant selling DIY popiah in china square...but everytime i go there....have difficulity finding it :P

i noe its a shot in the dark, but its worth a try....back in the late 80s, i noe of this little popiah stall, situated in a kopi tiam (blk 86 i think) next to the whampoa drive hawker center, that sells great tasting popiah, but the last time i went there...ard 2 years back, the stall is not ard anymore, not sure the lady have shifted or retired, but it would be a real pity cuz i rarely find popiah better than the auntie's, was wondering if anyone ever tried the popiah over there or noe the stall whereabouts?

bro, not sure if the DIY one is the exact same one you're looking for. but if its at china square, should be almost correct. run by a family, with the owner a 70+ yr old uncle, who looks rather fit for his age. but mostly handled by his daughters. i forgot the name, but my family has been visiting the place for long time. good stuff

even if its not the same one, can give it a try also. now relocated to HDB area along Jln Bukit Merah. Opp Zhangde primary school and quite close to the malay mosque. :bboyspin:
