  1. Hello Everyone, Its been another long while since we have updated our threads again. There has been many things going now with us and we are happy to announce that besides doing our usual detailing/grooming and PPS services. We are now able to perform Full Car Respray Works Repair and Respray Works Rims Repair and Respray Works Bodykit Supply, Spray and Installation Works 3rd Party Accident Claims Works Hardi was one of our very first "walk in" customer at our new spray paint location . He had called in one day to enquire about our grooming/detailing services and after a quick chat over the phone. He decided to come by to for us to take a look at his car. After a walkabout of his car, we pointed out some issues that could not be restore by Paint Correction techniques as there was rust damage on the body work and the paint was already delaminating itself on a few areas that will only worsen over time. As we met up over at our new spray painting location, he then ask more about or services and had a first on experience on the cars that we were currently working on and the processes that we go through. We discussed in detail on what we can do for his restoration project and we were pleasantly surprise that he decided to entrust his car with us. 1) We proceeded to take care of the more serious bodywork issues like rust damage and also areas that the paint was delaminating. 2) Dismantling the car carefully due to its old age and making sure worn clips were not broken. We apply rust converters and also anti rust treatment for the chrome bits that have seen better days to prolong its lifespan further and also changing nuts and bolts that were almost rusted shut together. 3) Then it was time for the most unexciting part of a respray but also the most important. The prep on the bodyworks. The process of putty, sanding, putty, putty sanding and primer went on for 3 days. 4) Finally when we were satisfied, The car was ready to be moved into our Spray Booth for a fresh coat of base colour. 5) After checks for runs and any patchiness in the base coat was cleared. It was the time to finally lay on the Spies Hecker MS Clear Coat that really brought out the gloss. 6) 4 more rounds of compounding, polishing and refining was needed to flatten the clear coat to finally bring out the potential of this new respray. Through out the 2 weeks journey, Hardi was the perfect customer, He never rushed at all while we updated him via whatsapp on the progress. Coming over every other day after work whilst on his way back home for chit chats and also to take photo along the process like a proud father. We are fortunate enough to have Hardi as our customer that had further affirm our decision to start our own Spray Painting and Bodywork services for our customers. 4. I receive a call from KIA that they will be having a Private Launch of the all new and highly anticipated KIA Stinger and will be engaging us to detail the first 4 Stingers in Singapore. Happening at a Esplanade Annexe Studio on the 9th of Jan, A private unveiling for KIA appreciated customers only. Before the public unveil during the Singapore Motor Show 2018 happening at Suntec City now. I was eagerly anticipating to be able to meet the Stinger after the phone call. Then I received another call from KIA to ask if I was free to go pick up the KIA 3.3L Twin Turbo GT from a journalist who was loaned the car for a 2 days test drive and for him to do a write up and review on it. Bring it back from Sembawang all the way back to KIA show room at Leng Kee. I said, "Of course I am glad to!" It was a rare opportunity to drive a brand new car, a brand new model and a brand new direction that KIA is heading into the Premium Performance GT segment. I was also honored that KIA have trust in us to let us not only detail/groom their cars but also to drive this new Beast. 2 instructions I got from them. "Stay within the speed limit" "Drive safe" Honestly, I scoff a little inside myself. Hey, I'm a "wannabe boy racer" that have driven a Honda Civic Type R for 9 years and been down to OG sessions and Sepang International Circuit for casual tracking events. Had the privilege to also drive friend's and customers souped up track machines there as well. You think I cannot handle a KIA? Come the fateful day when I on a Uber down to pick up location. I did a little research online on the specs of the car on my phone... As the journey goes on, I was getting increasingly excited to meet and also drive this beast. Rave reviews and the car looked gorgeous in the promotional photos and videos and the perfomance specs of the car is simply off the chart. 365-hp twin-turbocharged 3.3-liter V-6 goodness under the hood. Its a genuine Korean Made American Muscle car. Where the rest of the world is going small displacement with Turbo technology coupled with hybrid features and electronic motors to stay environmentally friendly. (Sorry, Petrol Heads and Tree Huggers usually don't mix very well) KIA has gone on a different course to make this a real performance contender in its segment. Meeting the Stinger for the first time, you can tell immediately that it intends to be fast. A menacing large front grill to suck in enough air to cool the intercoolers for the twin turbo. Sharp and aggressive LED headlights, Subtle and functional Aerokit design meant to cool brakes and provide downforce at high speed. Make no mistake, the car is a long one. 4.83M in length but its fluid and elegant styling disguises its size to enhance it's sporty look while offering drivers and the passengers lots of onboard space. With a a 4 Pot Brembo Calipers up front and also 2 Pot Brembo at the Rear, Manufacturers usually don't equip their cars with premium brake systems like this. Unless... they really need it, meaning the car will be indeed, fast. Getting into the driver seat for the first time, I immediately was impressed by the soft nappa leather that was used for the seats. Usually available only for the more premium models for prestigious marques even. The cockpit was simple and functional and controls are neatly and well positioned. KIA is usually very very generous with their in car features and they went all in with this one. - Heads Up Display - Ventilated seats - Memory electronic seat control - Full operative sunroof - Android / apple car play - For IphoneX users, you can finally use the wireless charging function available in the car. Just to name a few.... However, the finish of the interior although impressive in its own right, feels a little rough on the details compared to it's more establish competitors for the premium GT segment but I am sure the next Stinger will be even more polished. Starting the engine was a delight with a purposeful roar, the car behaves so agile for its size and weight in the small roads i had to drive out from. Pedal response and low speed gear shift is smooth. However the highlight of the day was when I hit CTE... the road was rather clear that day. Out of the 2 instruction I was given. I manage to keep to 1. The car was delivered to Leng Kee without a scratch. For that reason, I cannot openly comment too much on its top speed performance but I can safely say, its spec sheet data of 0 - 100 in 4.9 sec. It is true. If you really want to experience the Stinger, go book yourself a test drive experience with KIA. I assure you, you wont be disappointed. Will I pay $200k for a KIA Stinger 3.3L? Probably not... BUT!!!!! Not because I don't like it. I absolutely love it. I just cant afford it. (-_-") I was considering to get the all new Honda Civic Type R, FK2R Which is selling for slightly below $200k too but I decided to renew my FD2R cause I'm broke as hell and I still love my FD2R. After driving the Stinger, (a very big) IF I had the money, I will honestly give both cars a very good consideration. (TOTO draw... please be kind to me) Jokes aside... For $200k, you probably wont find another car with its specs and performance available in the market now. Take $200k each and get a production car from any showroom and bring them down the quarter mile. It will be hard to believe anything can beat the Stinger. More so, a car that packs 4 doors with such generous on board space for the family and a huge boot space for the weekend golfing , pram and family needs. KIA is indeed leading the motion that I have been observing. Korea is the new Japan. They will definitely be improving its offerings for many years to come.
  5. I got a call from a friend in the morning telling me that his friend needs my help and will be calling me. When E called, he sounded really anxious over the phone and ask for my address and if I was open and told me he will come over straightaway. In his haste, he mentioned something about having to remove his Paint Protection Coating as it has ruined his car. When he got here, we were face with a very interesting but unfortunate situation. E has bought a Diamond 9H PPS coating from Taobao(which are easily available) and went to a nearby:"grooming shop" and ask if they could apply it for him. They said they can and he then left the car with them. He receive a call an hour later to be informed that something has gone wrong. He went back and was then faced with a situation of his car being in the "Before" conidtion and the coating could not be removed although the staff was vigorously rubbing on the paint with compound. We then proceed to try the least aggressive ways and stepping up slowly on a test spot to go about removing this product and it was not budging at all. I informed E that there will be no easy fix and it will be time consuming process to save his paint. A total of 6 hours was needed to restore the paintwork the "After" state and even so,The product's strong solvent has already etch into the clear coat of the paint causing irreversible damage. E ask if we could apply his coating again for him but we kindly refuse. We are unfamiliar with the product and seeing how a failed application has cause so much damage to the paint. We had reservations about its content and also capabilities. Perhaps the product is not a bad one but the installation method is definitely wrong. Most reputable detailing workshops are trained and validated with their own products and knows the flash points and characteristic of the coating and the application process. With experience with their own company's coating, they can gauge with the humidity and ambient temperature to control and manage flash points like this t o ensure a good installation. I urge car owners that if you have the passion to DIY coat your cars. 1) Try your best to get from Reputable Brands. They usually comes with proper instructions and also you can be more sure of the product's content. 2) Arm yourself with some DIY detailing knowledge as well. Invest some time into watching some Youtube videos that are readily available and pick out the good practises and ignore those nonsense videos. 3) Time Make sure you have the day off and not having to have a timeline that you need to rush thru the job. Perhaps 4 - 5 hrs will be good depending on the size of the car as well. 4) Cleansing If you do not have any paint correction or polishing experience and will like to just apply on a coating on your car. Do remember to wash and clay the car first before beginning to remove any dirt and contaminants to expose the paintwork to receive the coating to ensure longevity of the product. 5) Polishing If you are familiar with working a polishing machine or will be doing a hand polish. Do remember to cleanse the paintwork with a IPA before coating as most polish product contains silicon/oils/fillers. 6) Test Spots - Start from the most unseen part of the car, IE the lower side of the bumper etc and start small. Should something go wrong, at least you wont be faced with a unsightly patch on a prominent area of your car. - Do perhaps no larger than a 10cm x 10cm area and watch out for the flash points and wipe off the excess gently. - Do not wipe too early as the coating might not be as lasting if it hasn't reach its flash point and wiping it off too late will result in difficulty in trying to remove the excess and causing mirco scratches as you try to wipe harder. - If you reach a stage that you have difficulty removing the excess, quickly reapply the coating over the area again and it's own solvent will usually allows it to be remove gently again. - Remember this flash point / timing and proceed on with the rest of the car and you can start doing bigger areas to speed up the process. - Have a good touch light and check n recheck the panel when you are done to make sure there is no left over product before moving on to the next panel. If any excess being left out and found out much later. They will not be able to be remove easily without using a polish. - Have perhaps 8 to 10 clean thick ply MF clothes and change them after a few panels to avoid built up of product onto the MF cloth. It will make your application process less tedious and and avoid errors. When you are finally done, give youself a pat on the back and also treat yourself to a good massage at the end of the day. Its oddly satisfying to completely run your fingers through every inch of your car and you probably know every little dings, dents and scratch that it has that you have never known. I hope our little write up is informative and of help to you should you are considering to embark on a little adventure yourself.
  6. Merry Christmas and a very Happy New year to all the members here. Its been a loooooooong while since we have update our thread. We used to hotlink the photos from Photobucket and they have since wanted to charge their users $400 USD per year to continue using their site with the hotlink function. They have also prevented us from downloading our photos. We have since use Google photo to hotlink the photos instead and made the effort to painstakingly go thru each and every post and going back to our FB page to look for the photos. Uploading them and then editing each post to reflect the new hotlink. However, we were not able to retrieve all the photos and some older post has been then deleted. Moving forward, we will strive to be more active on the forum to showcase our latest works and also promotions for members. A very big thank you for all the support over the years and also customers from here who have feedback to us about our thread issues as well when they visit.

  8. It was a quiet PH afternoon at Tradehub21. All businesses was closed around us and I had only came back to hand over a car to a customer gets the car for the weekend. Sometimes its nice to be back on Sundays and PH to enjoy the quiet moment in our humble workshop. Without the constant buzzing of the Rotary, DA Machines and Vacuum in my head all day. After removing the car cover, I did a routine check and final touch up on the car while waiting for him. He did mention that he was bringing friends in the whatsapp msg but I didn't read them. Bellowing from afar, As I heard a really unique and loud and low rumbling a car approaching, Something myself and David likes to joke abt when were are around. "有杀气!!!" I was curiously anticipating, and as it pulls up near to our unit, I seriously had a #jizzmypants moment as it was the stunning Koenigsegg Agera S! The one and only 1 in SG! My jaw dropped literally, Like a teenage boy meeting his pin up girl in real life? Like a Man U fan coming face to face with Eric Cantona? Like a Atheist coming face to face to God perhaps... This car probably needs no introduction to most of the car geeks out there. For the benefits of the non car geeks, http://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/fastest-car-in-singapore-koenigsegg-agera-sold-for-53-million Once the fastest and most expensive car in our sunny island. Its only recently eclipsed only by yet another Koenigsegg Agera RS. Was asked if I could do a quick detail for the car as owner was in quite a rush as well. Well of course! I was given 1 hr as they went for lunch and coffee downstairs and I got to spend some quiet and personal time with this blue Swedish lady. We got upclose and personal and I was admiring and complimenting her on the craftsmanship, build quality and the use of dry carbon fibre all over the car while I gently caresses her body after I spray my generous thick foam all over her. (sorry for the adult rated description) Tried my best to prevent my saliva from drooling in the interior as I still couldn't close my jaw. Like always, good times fly by so quickly and soon she had to be picked up and drove away. Will be missing her and awaiting our next rendevous together.
  9. David had his Macan S detailed by us not long ago. Having gotten a new BMW 428 for his wife, he made a appointment with us to have the new car detailed, coated and protected with SONAX Nano Paint Protect from the very first day as well. German Technology on German Technology. Again, we will like to extend our gratitude to all our customers and friends for their support over our small and new start up. Its been a amazing 2 years and counting. We endeavor to continue to be of excellent service!

  11. Hamid was a customer that drop by after locating us on SGCarMart listing, this was about slight more than 3 years ago if my memory serves me correct. He was driving a 7 - 8 years old purple Vios and was just looking to do up a polish and sealant service for his car. Upon completing our service, he pick up his car(satisfied I hope) and he left. He "liked" our facebook page after and from Facebook, I realise that we had some mutual friends. (Power of Social Media!) The next time he visited again, he opted for the same service and this time we had a good chit chat where we talked about those mutual friends and also that we found out that we were from the same school even. There will always be some customers that we can relate better to on a personal level and connect, and Hamid was definitely one of them. We always strive to deliver a professional and personal service all our customers and Hamid has became more like a friend now. Being a Orthopaedic himself, he given me professional advice on a knee problem that had been bugging me for years and not only introduce me to his recommended Orthopaedic Surgeon to perform my knee operation last Nov. He even went on to help me set up the appointment with a shorter waiting time. 7 months after my operation, I have him to thank for now I no longer suffer in pain after a long day of detailing at the workshop anymore. Its relationships like this that we slowly forge with our supportive customers that we really come to treasure. Moving beyond a Service Provider / Client role and basically becoming friends. Hamid has come back with a Honda Vezel that he bought 15 months ago and had sent it for a PPS coating back then. He was coming in again for a Full Recoat again and we had our usual jokes and banter. "We are unable to do your car unless we remove the Liverpool Decal" I am a Man Utd Fan and David is a Arsenal fan. Although I repeat this every visit, it may sound silly but still provides 2 silly men with some laughter. His car was filled with decals and I struggle to find a good space to stick on ours and sadly, it has to be stuck together with the Liverpool decal. However, there is 1 decal that we approve of! 12. Ben's Alpina B3 on BEEDS HD Premium Ceramic Treatment. This is the 3rd car Ben has entrusted with us over the years and has also introduce countless colleagues to us. We are extremely grateful for his trust and support over the years. When I got a text from him to expect a car coming in and to reserve a slot but he was not telling me the make and model. I knew I will be expecting something special. Come appointment day, a black BMW 3 Series roll up to our unit with a low rumble and I initially thought it was a BMW M3. In fact its a really rare Alpina B3 Biturbo this time round. I am glad with the support of many of our successful customers, we are often spoiled with rare and special makes of cars for us to molest which makes our work so much more interesting. Alpina is a company base in Buchloe, Germany. They develops and produces high end BMW cars and works closely with BMW with their processes are integrated into BMW's production lines, thus Alpina is even recognized by the German Ministry of Transport as an automobile manufacturer instead of being a regular aftermarket tuning company. Alpina-built cars are branded and registered as Alpina instead of BMW, although an Alpina can be bought and serviced at selected BMW dealerships, and covered under BMW if there is a warranty issue. Their engine are usually assembled by hand in Buchloe before shipping over the BMW manufacturing plant for installation and the cars are shipped back to Alpina for the final finishing touches. Distinctive features of Alpina vehicles are 20 spoke alloy wheels to the expensive interior materials used to fabricate the exclusive interior fixtures to give it the Alpina touch. Compared to BMW M, Alpina emphasis on luxury, higher torque and automatic transmission. Their Supercharged and Turbocharged engines delivers higher torques at lower RPMs eliminating the dreaded turbo lag. The car was left overnight with us and Ben gave us all the time we needed to do our stuff. Paint Work Corrected and Refined by B’Shine. Interior treated with Deluxe Interior Service. 15. Its always nice serving returning customers that been with us for years. Taking the time each time to actually catch up and chit chat about life and such. Lance is a good example of a customer turned friend that been with us since the very beginning. Coming back for the 3rd time to have his car detailed and have the SONAX Nano Paint Protect PPS coating for his Freelander2. He came by with his beautiful daughter to pick up the car and we had a great chat as I myself just had a baby girl too. He shared many great parenting tips with me which I am grateful for. Providing excellent service and also building a long lasting relationship is what we always strive to do and hope we will always be of good service for many more years to come.
