hi just got a 2007 W204 C200K just some questions

  • There is no last servicing sticker in the car, how to know when is the next servicing?
  • When i check the servicing menu in the car it says ASSYB1 or something and is due in 340 days!!! Merc cars only service around once a year? ( mileage currently 140k ....dealer told me she called C&C and last service was ard 117K)
  • dealer told me car has been serviced by C&C all along, how to verify ?
  • Driver side wing mirror groans when folding , how to rectify ?
  • wiper judders , did some research probably will drop by autobacs later
  • Wind noise at driver side door, seems like the door doesnt seem to close as snugly as the rest of the doors ...anyway to rectify ?

Thanks in advance for the help

Just send for servicing right away.wont cost u much. Changout ATF too for peace of mind.

Don't trust car ASSIST service date when u just got a 2nd hand car. Anyone can reset the service required date with a few button pressed on your steering wheel.

had  a c200k before. would change out the ATF and do a change of oil as well. check the brake pads. CnC services every 15,000km or a year depending on which happens first. I did it every 10,000km.

if dealer checked and last service was 117 and current mileage is 140, so due for service.

groaning side mirror, had it before, lubricated with silicon spray. seems to work ( but then i sold the car after a few months)

wind noise, perhaps rubber seals has hardened. can consider relube the rubber with those rubber protector etc, if not change out the seals.

To check when the next servicing is due, go to the instrument cluster menu and search for Assyst Plus. It'll tell you when your next servicing is due.

To verify servicing at C&C, call C&C.

just called C&C ...last servicing was done in november 2014 at 117k Mileage ...currently 143k mileage ...was told next servicing only due on 150K

The servicing interval for merc is so long ?

cnc standard servicing should be 15K interval.

When in doubt, play safe. Just go for the servicing. C&C won't turn you away.

All second hand cars I buy are serviced the moment I receive the car, regardless if the car was just serviced by the dealer / previous owner. It's just for a peace of mind.
