shock absorber replacement

Hi, would like to check if anyone here got shock absorber replacement by c&c for W204? Mine feels quite crushy and not handling the unevenness of the road well but I am not sure if c&c would replace them under warranty. How much does it cost to replace it at c&c if it is not covered under warranty? Is it better to do the replacement outside?

Uneven tyre wear is 1 sign of worn out shock

Benn find it bouncy, indignant find it too hard. If both same ride, maybe do an exchange

Anyway changing absorbers can solved the problem stated, provided is the right setup/type.

In the end both parties might get the same result.... due to personal preference... :D

My ride is W212 E200 -year 2011 with about 80k mileage.

Find it a little hard and bumpy during braking.

I was quoted by C&C for shock absorbers at $4300.00 c/w GST less 10 to 15% off.

Wow C&C premium like getting higher, I just change my shock outside to Bilstein B16 for less than that as my ride was too bouncy after > 3 years. But my was a W204.

After holding off  for 6 months, it is time to change my shocks as car is getting a bit hard.

My Ride is W212 E200 Year 2011 - Mileage 100KM.

To save some cost, Intend to buy from Stockist and get a workshop to do the fitting.

Can any bro recommend a reliable workshop.

shocks are wear and tear, no matter how you argue with them.

coil overs are the best!

(=

Compare to many years ago, our sg road standard is getting bad to worst.

Contractor digging up on road and then anyhow patch back...doesn't even care if the patch is flat/even or not.

Making our road un-even and bumpy, no different from driving cross-country.

Maybe because these workers thinking "so long cover-up can already, not need for qc".

Is there a gov QC department doing inspection after the road-work to certify that it is within acceptable standard?

If not, we have to replace our shock absorber more frequent.

Hi everyone! I am new to SGMerc. Kindly need all the pro advise here with regards to shock absorber.

I am currently driving CLA250 (C117) for the past 4.5 years. Everything is going well until the recent past few months, I start hearing Knocking sound froming from Engine Bay / Undercarriage (can't tell where is it exactly from) when driving at uneven surface or going downslope from car park. Past few days I also start to realised my car ride tend to be more rough and louder bang sounds when driving patched up road (from pothole).

I went to C&C to get it checked, they could not discover any issue. This is getting annoying as it is affecting the ride quality and yet the roots of the problem is not determined.

For this situation, do you guys think it is absorber issues or there is other underlying issues that caused the noise?

If its a tik tok sound, it could be coming from the linkage to the front struts.  I just replace my front structs and rear shocks, and my workshop told me to replace the linkage too as a worn linkage could cause knocking sounds.
