coolant water

Yes, as all other members have responded.

Wait for engine to cool down, just top up with tap water will do.

Monitor situation, if this happens again then it could be due to several other issues such as some leaking hoses, leaking coolant tank or worse a faulty fan motor.

One other gauge to watch out is the engine temperature ... does it overheats?  if so do check the fan if it is still spinning.  If it is not then very likely its the fan motor which is the most expensive fault than the others

IIRC, the original MB coolant is blue, it would be best to use the coolant rather than water as the heat distribution might be different.

If your tangki aka radiator got no more coolant, it may be a better idea to seek professional help as it might be broken, if not fix might lead to bigger issues.

Use distilled water.. tap water and mineral water will build up limescale on the inside of the radiator and head, and they are also slightly conductive, which will lead to corrosion inside the radiator, water pump, and head. Mix 50-50 MB coolant and water, as the MB coolant has anti-corrosive additives. Too much coolant is also no good, as it will actually impede the ability of the water to transfer heat.

Go back to yr regular ws ask them to a pressure test after top up. Check the interior flooring under the carpet.

Other than a coolant system failure - leaking radiator, faulty radiator pressure cap, stuck thermostat causing overheat, faulty or leaking water pump, or can be blown top gasket where water can leak into engine and mixed with engine oil.

BlackMerc- why got coolant under floor carpet ? Mens - lai ang arh! :)

Cheers

The heat from the coolant is used to mix with the air con cold air when there is a need to adjust to higher temp, especially in cold country for heating purpose of de fogging of the front windscreen during rain/snow.
